The set includes a spherically-seated upper platen assembly and spacer for the 250, 300, 400, and 500 Series compression machines. The platen is hard nickel plated to resist wear and corrosion and has a 6.5in (152mm) bearing block with concentric circles that allow easy centering of cylinders. The platen assembly attaches to the compression machine by a locking stem system. Test Set for the 250 Series also comes with a 6.5in (152mm) square lower platen.
