Certified Portland cement standard reference materials are issued by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the validation and calibration of various cement tests and testing apparatus. Each single-use Portland cement reference sample is a dry powder sealed in a vial or foil pouch.
BS-47 NIST Portland Cement, No.1881b is blended with 30% fly ash for validation of test methods prescribed in ASTM C114/AASHTO T 105 for x-ray spectroscopic and chemical analysis of Portland cement products. The standard reference material is ground to pass through a 75μm (No.200) sieve. Supplied with NIST certificate of analysis in 5 sealed vials, each with approximately 5g of cement.
BS-49 NIST Portland Cement, No.1885b is a Type I-II general-use Portland cement standard reference material used for validation of test methods prescribed in ASTM C114 /AASHTO T 105 for x-ray spectroscopic and chemical analysis of Portland cement products. The cement is ground to pass through a 75μm (No.200) sieve. Supplied with NIST certificate of analysis in 5 vials of approximately 5g each of cement.
BS-50 NIST Portland Cement, No.114r is used to verify and calibrate equipment for the ASTM C115 Wagner turbidimeter, C1891 fineness by air-jet sieve, and C204 Blaine apparatus, as well as the C430 fineness by sieve test. (AASHTO T 98, T 153, and T 192 test methods). This standard reference material is supplied with a NIST certificate of analysis in 20 vials of approximately 5g each of cement.
