Windsor Probe Sets are used exclusively with Windsor Probe Test Systems to determine the penetration resistance of concrete to estimate in-place strength. Probes are constructed of high-strength alloy and specially heat treated and annealed to achieve a hardness of Rockwell C 48. Select from two types of probes, Silver for normal-weight concrete or Gold for concrete with lightweight aggregates.
WPA-3 Gold Probe Set is used for penetration testing of lightweight concrete with densities less than 125lb/ft³ (2,003kg/M³) and concrete strength less than 3,000psi (20.7mPa). Gold has a 56% greater cross-sectional area than Silver Probes.
WPA-1 Silver Probe Set is used for penetration tests in normal-weight concrete with densities greater than 125lb/ft³ (2,003kg/M³) and concrete strength from 3,000–17,000psi (20.7–117.2mPa).
Probe sets each contains three probes, adapters, and three power loads, enough to run one test following the ASTM C803 test method. Probe sets are also available by the case, which contains 25 sets. Inquire for pricing of case quantities of ten or more.
