Fritsch Rotary Cone Sample Divider separates samples with a maintenance-free 100rpm motor that accelerates material outwards into 3, 8, or 10 identical subsamples. Equip any of six interchangeable Divider Heads made of polyoxymethylene (POM) plastic or aluminum for sampling ratios of 1:8, 1:10, or 1:30. POM plastic heads are suitable for most routine work including metal-free sampling, while aluminum heads are suitable for materials and suspensions with abrasive properties.
The Rotary Cone Sample Divider offers high precision and is capable of dry and wet division with up to 99.9% accuracy. The sample feed funnel guides material onto the point of the rotating cone while the rapid rotation accelerates the material outwards, dividing it through up to 30 channels.
Divider heads are purchased separately and are supplied with a 10mm diameter funnel. PTFE Coated Aluminum Dividing Head 1:30 is available for especially aggressive solids and suspensions. 1:8 Dividing Heads include eight 500mL bottles, 1:10 Dividing Heads include ten 250mL bottles, and 1:30 Dividing Heads include three 15mL bottles plus an additional 5mm funnel and catch basin to collect the remainer of the sample.
The 22mm funnel is necessary when using coarse materials with 1:8 and 1:10 heads. For dry powders of limited topsize, the 5mm Funnel is recommended for 1:8 and 1:10 heads. Sample bottles are available from 15–500mL, up to 4L total volume, and are dishwasher safe. Sample capacities are limited by sample bottle or reject container sizes.
A Divider Head is not included and must be purchased separately. Dividing heads are supplied with Sample Bottles and a Funnel. Additional sample bottles and funnels can also be purchased separately.
