Dead-Weight Consolidation Load Frame has a 48tsf (4,597kPa) capacity for test application of loads in stress-controlled soil consolidation testing of soil specimens. The advanced load frame design allows instantaneous loading with minimal impact for determining expected soil settlement.
This tabletop testing machine is designed by Karol-Warner and is simple and efficient. The Dead-Weight load frame or oedometer test apparatus features a counterbalanced beam assembly for 9:1, 10:1, or 11:1 beam ratios for a wider selection of loads with weight sets. The loading platform has a vertical and horizontal clearance of 5.25x6.38in (133x161mm).
The consolidation apparatus is designed for use with consolidometers in testing specimens up to 3in (76.2mm). Locating pins on the top platform precisely center fixed or floating ring consolidometers for loading.
The load frame is powder-coated aluminum and the loading table is made from the rugged anodized aluminum plate for corrosion resistance in harsh laboratory environments. Includes stainless steel vertical rods and a beam support rod.
The unit requires and can be purchased separately a Weight Set (available in lb or kg), Analog or Digital Dial Indicator, and Fixed or Floating Ring Consolidometer.
Note: The Pound Weight Set is configured in tons/ft² (tsf) for a 2.5in (63.5mm) soil specimen when a 10:1 beam ratio is being used.
