Gilson Centrifuge Extractors

Gilson’s popular Centrifuge Extractors provide efficient and reliable quantitative determinations of bitumen content in hot-mix asphalt specimens. All models feature rugged, welded tubular steel frames, safe, simple operation, and long service life.

The precision machined and balanced inner aluminum bowl assembly quickly lifts out of the sealed housing for efficient specimen handling. Rotation speeds up to 3,600rpm are easily set using the speed control knob. The built-in electric brake stops the centrifuge in seconds when the extraction is complete. The heavy-cast aluminum outer cover latches securely in place and features an integral solvent dispensing cup. Filter Paper rings prevent loss of fines during processing.

Standard Centrifuge Extractors are useful for applications where flammability is not a concern. It is available in 1,500g capacity with 115V, 60Hz or 230V, 50Hz electrical. Includes twenty-five Filter Rings with an overall diameter of 9.75in and a center hole diameter of 2.5in.

Explosion-Proof Centrifuge Extractors feature explosion-proof rated motors and safe transformers enclosed by a rugged welded tubular steel frame. These units have models with 1,500 or 3,000g capacity and 115V, 60Hz or 230V, 50Hz electrical. Includes twenty-five Filter Rings with an overall diameter of 11.63in and a center hole diameter of 2.5in.
