Grease Penetration Cones

Penetration Cones for use with Universal Asphalt Penetrometers for testing asphalt binder, grease, and other materials. Available in three models, each constructed of different hard metals.

HMA-182 Penetration Cone, Hollow Magnesium with plunger meets ASTM D2884 and is constructed of magnesium. Cone is 90° with a 30° removable hardened steel tip. Total cone weight is 30.0g (0.066lb).

HMA-183 Grease Penetration Cone, Hollow Brass is made of brass and has removable nut and stem. Meets requirements of ASTM D217 and ASTM D937 for testing grease. Cone is 90° with a 30° removable hardened stainless steel tip. Total cone weight is 102.5g (0.266lb).

HMA-183S Grease Penetration Cone, Hollow Stainless Steel meets requirements of ASTM D217 and ASTM D937 for testing grease. Cone is 90° with a 30° removable highly-polished stainless steel tip with removable nut and stem. Total cone weight is 102.5g (0.266lb).
