Premium Grinding Bowls are used with the Fritsch Premium Planetary Mill and contain the grinding balls and material to be ground. Bowls are available in many materials and sizes to suit the needs of each grinding application. Each bowl includes a lid and seal ring.
Grinding bowl material must be harder than the material to be ground. FT-50 Premium Planetary Mill requires two grinding bowls and should be operated with balanced loads. Identical bowls and bowl fillings should be used at both grinding stations. It is recommended that fine sand material, such as play sand, be placed inside the jar of equal total mass and used as a counterweight. Grinding Balls are purchased separately.
FTA-331, FTA-341, and FTA-351 agate grinding bowls are suitable for soft to medium-hard samples.
FTA-332, FTA-342, and FTA-352 zirconium oxide grinding bowls are suitable for fibrous, abrasive samples.
FTA-333, FTA-343, and FTA-353 hardened stainless steel grinding bowls are suitable for hard, medium-hard, brittle samples.
FTA-334, FTA-344, and FTA-354 hardmetal tungsten carbide grinding bowls are suitable for hard, abrasive samples.
